BCOA 2011

Judged by Mrs Amy Sorby (Regular Classes)

in Lawrence, KS

At this National, our little Omaha borzoi club was the local hosting club.  I co-chaired the hospitality coordination with Caryl Dumaine.  We both had many things to attend to prior to and during this week of our National show.  It was fun, but it was also time consuming.  Because of those extra duties, I only brought one dog to show, Ariel.  She was entered in the American Bred class.  The class entry was 17, and as you can see in the photo, Ariel placed second.

Second Place in American Bred Bitches

I believe this candid shot below is just after we were pulled for the line up.

One of the reasons the dogs love to go showing is because they get pampered while in the hotel room with us.  Ariel, like all the borzoi I've had, fully understand what pillows are meant to be used for.  Below, she is resting after working so hard and nicely for me in the Am Bred ring.

At night when I am getting myself to bed, I tell the borzoi, "I paid for the room.  I get a pillow."
